Thanks to an Ed Roth stenciling book that I found hidden away at Michael’s, and aided by an increasing desire to try to figure out how to actually create cool shirts, The Owl and I decided to try our hands at stenciling t-shirts over the weekend. Despite complications (e.g., picking up a paint I wasn’t completely crazy about, paint seeping under the stencil, and waiting too long to try to pick up the stencil thus causing it to stick), I’m actually pretty happy with the way my t-shirt turned out. It’s undeniably awesome.
Project #2 for The Owl and the Pussycat begins this weekend, and it also involves a stencil, a dresser my great-grandfather built, and some amazing knobs I purchased from Anthropolgie. I promise you, it is going to be mindblowing.
I was lucky enough to see this shirt in person…and it is AWESOME! I have my order in already. I see a whole new career ahead….
