Roller skating foot care: It’s easier than you’d think.

One of the hardest parts of learning to skate is what comes with it: the blisters, raw patches, ripped up nails, and pain. I’ve been skating long enough to share the roller skating foot care I’ve learned through the years.

Most of what I’ve listed on the video you can find in grocery stores, Target or Walmart, or drugstores. I consider the essentials a good quality moleskin like Dr. Scholl’s, waterproof tape, and just about anything you can find from Bunga Pads. Bunga Pads has an entire skater’s kit that I can guarantee is worth every penny.

This is what happens when you’re running late to practice—you set up a Bunga pad/Nexcare waterproof tape station in your carpool.

Another roller skating foot care tip I have to offer is using a foot massage roller like this one. Roll out those bones to make sure you’re taking care of yourself.

I’ll have another post soon about socks, which are also super important! Pick up a good pair of moisture-wicking socks to keep your feet dry and slip-free while skating.

In the meantime, good luck! Let me know what’s working for you, or if you have other suggestions, feel free to share them here.
